Well folks, the results are in—and it’s no joke (even if today is April 1st)! 😄🎶
In the epic Championship Battle of the Bands, Journey said “thanks, but no thanks” to Whitney’s dance invitation and absolutely rocked their way to victory with Don’t Stop Believin’! 🏆🎸
👏 Huge congratulations to our perfect bracket champions: Kameron Wetsch, Cooper Parsons, Aubree Bolster, and Charlie Shields – the true music masterminds of March! 🙌
As we wrap up Music in Our Schools Month, we want to give a massive shoutout to all the staff and students who sang along, voted like champs, guessed those tricky Teacher Tunes, and most importantly—tolerated all the musical madness this past month! 😂🎧
And let’s not forget our amazing community members who voted every single day—you’re the real MVPs of the bracket board! 🫶
Thanks for joining the fun, and remember—don’t stop believin’… or dancin’… or singing in the hallways. 🎤💃

No drum club this week. We will start back up next week and 5/6th grade will be moving to Wednesday mornings instead of Thursday.

Our 7th-12th Students of the Month are Clay Nelson and Kameron Wetsch. Congratulations!

Our music award winners this month are back row: Willow Bullock, Logan Black, Declan Suthers, Macey Anderson, and Austin Knoeller. Front row: Carter Greany, Boe McNiven, Gavin Webster, and Luke Linton. Great job everyone!

Our winners for being resilient this month are: Easton Graybeal, Gibson Bullock, Wesson Smith and Cooper Parsons. Congratulations!

Our Elementary students were treated to a unique and amazing musical experience Wednesday afternoon. Verlan Jesse came and played the saw for everyone to enjoy! If you have never heard him play, it is truly a beautiful and magical experience. The kids were in awe of the beautiful sounds an ordinary saw can produce. Verlan also took the time to allow students to try and play the saw, and we are very appreciative that he came and shared his talent and time with us!

Wednesday afternoon, our students were treated to a truly unique musical experience thanks to Verlan Jesse and his incredible saw-playing presentation! His performance did not disappoint—students were captivated by the beautiful, unexpected sounds, and some even got the chance to try it out for themselves.
We even got Mr. Phillips to give it a try!
A huge thank you to Verlan for sharing his amazing talent and giving us an afternoon full of curiosity, creativity, and fun.

🎙️MARCH MUSIC MADNESS – FINAL FOUR FRENZY!🎙️
Yesterday’s matchup was a nail-biter, folks! Whitney Houston just barely edged out The Beatles, snagging the last ticket to the Final Four with I Wanna Dance with Somebody! It was close, it was dramatic, and it was everything March Music Madness is all about!
But hold onto your headphones, because today we’ve got a DOUBLE HEADER that’s going to shake the brackets and set the stage for Monday’s championship!
Game 1:
Gloria Gaynor says I Will Survive, but Journey is shouting Don’t Stop Believin’! It’s disco power vs arena rock passion—who’s punching their ticket to the big dance?
Game 2:
Maren Morris & Zedd are back with The Middle, taking on the vocal powerhouse herself—Whitney Houston and I Wanna Dance with Somebody! Will the newcomer pull off another upset, or is Whitney headed for the final spotlight?
We need your votes now more than ever! Let’s make these last matchups legendary!
🎤❓🎶Teacher Tunes Trivia Update!🎶❓🎤
It got real yesterday as we learned:
• Mrs. Perry belted out That’s What Friends Are For by Dionne Warwick on the San Francisco Pier—talk about a concert moment!
• Mr. Belnap, after a tragic parkour fail (ouch), found redemption dancing to Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) by C+C Music Factory! That’s what we call a comeback!

🎙️LIVE EVENT ALERT – HAPPENING TODAY! 🎙️
Stop what you're doing because we’ve got big news—Verlan Jesse is HERE TODAY and he’s bringing something truly unforgettable! 🎻🪚 That’s right, he’s performing live with his musical saw—yes, a real saw that makes actual music!
If you’ve seen Verlan play before, you know it’s a performance like no other. And if this is your first time? Get ready to be amazed. The sound is haunting, beautiful, and totally unique—like nothing else you’ve heard before. And watching him perform live? Absolutely mesmerizing.
📍 Don’t miss it—it’s happening TODAY!
K-6th grade from 1:00 - 2:00ish
7-12th grade from 2:00 - 3:00ish

🎙️MARCH MUSIC MADNESS MISFIRE🎙️ Well folks, we’ve got a rare twist in the tournament today! No winner to report from yesterday—turns out Mrs. Anderson jumped the gun and sent Whitney Houston dancing her way into the next round… without ever facing off against The Beatles! 😱⏪ So we're calling a rematch-that-never-was, and TODAY it’s going down for real! 💥 🎤 I Wanna Dance with Somebody by Whitney Houston is finally facing off with ☀️ Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles! Two powerhouse tracks, one last shot at the Final Four—who will claim the final spot? Cast those votes and let the music decide! 🗳️🎶 Meanwhile, in Teacher Tunes Trivia, the competition is getting tougher and the prize stash is getting slimmer! From here on out, you’ll need to guess ALL teachers correctly to score a prize in these final days! 🧠🎵 Yesterday’s challenge was no joke—but SIX musical masterminds cracked the code! 🎉 🌈 Ms. Shows' heartfelt pick: Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, a tribute to her grandpa. 🤠 Mrs. Anderson’s first musical memory? Rodeo by Garth Brooks. Shoutout to our trivia champs: Brennan Lacy, Macey Anderson, Jacki Wetsch, Ajay Legg, Sierra Brown, and Harper Anderson! 🏆🎉 Swing by and see Mrs. Anderson for your well-earned prize! Stay sharp, stay tuned, and keep those guesses—and votes—coming!

March Music Madness Mayhem!
It has been the Monday-est Tuesday there ever was and Mrs. Anderson got a little ahead of herself with today's match-up, moving Whitney on to the next round without actually battling it out with the Beatles. So, today's votes will not count and we will do the correct match-up tomorrow with a twist on a double header to take place on Thursday.

Today our Kindergarten and 1st grade students got to work with clay!

🎙️MARCH MUSIC MADNESS UPDATE – JOURNEY ROLLS ON! 🎙️
Journey wasn't messing around, folks! 💥 Don’t Stop Believin’ came out swinging and absolutely crushed Aretha Franklin’s Respect to punch its ticket to the Final Four! 🚂🔥
Now the stage is set for another high-stakes showdown!
🎤 I Wanna Dance with Somebody by Whitney Houston brings the energy, the vocals, and the sparkle to today’s battle—but standing in her way is the modern hit The Middle by Maren Morris & Zedd, fresh off an upset over Imagine! ⚡️🎶
Who’s dancing their way into the Final Four? Who’s getting left in the middle? It’s up to YOU—get those votes in now! 🗳️🏆
The Final Four is almost locked in, and the battles are only getting hotter! 🔥🎵
Yesterday’s Teacher Tunes Trivia had most of us scratching our heads—but not the 4th grade! 👏💥 Miss Camille tried to throw us off, but that entire class saw right through it and correctly guessed her pick was Flyleaf by Flyleaf! Rock on, 4th grade! 🤘🎶
Meanwhile, Mr. Schindler took us on a little trip down memory lane—his awkward teenage years were soundtracked by the smooth sounds of Bob Seger’s Night Moves. A classic choice to help navigate the highs and lows of adolescence. 🚗🌙🎧
There was another long list of winners on these ones, so come see Mrs. Anderson if you think you're on the list!
Who’s up next? You’ll have to tune in at 12:15 to find out! Get your ears ready, your guesses locked in, and as always—keep the music playing! 🎵🔥

Ski busses are just leaving the hill. Should be to the school about 5.

8th grader, Macey Anderson, represented Granite County and Drummond Schools in the State Spelling Bee. She finished in the top 25 out of 55 spellers. Way to go, Macey! #wearedrummond

First grade got ice cream today for being such awesome readers!
